Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC other fighter, is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport began as an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, an award of bronze in 2008 and a medal with gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 and The Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was able to win unanimously. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut came in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She won this fight via TKO after round two and her two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on the sport of kickboxing. She returned to fight Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimously-decided match after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used superior striking to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the clinch. Antonina Shevchenko was given an UFC contract following this win. Antonina was offered a UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. She then fell in her second bout due to a split verdict. Antonina bounced back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko had a win in her first three bouts, but lost her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
