Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed martial arts expert. A former mixed martial arts artist. She had taken part at the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is an ex- UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Born in Tacoma, Washington, she was very active in sports during her high school years. As she was at Central Washington University Central Washington University, she joined the club for mixed martial art because it was recommended by a friend. at the age of twenty she competed in her debut amateur fight against Elizabeth Posener, who specialized in Muay Thai. After that, at the women's HOOKnSHOOT Grand Prix, which was a one-night, she made her debut as a professional. Tate won her first FCF Women's Bantamweight Championship after two years. Tate was well-liked and praised by her unique style of fight which was a blend of Brazilian jiu jitsu and wrestling. She gained a lot of attention as she took home the 'Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion' shortly after. Alongside her professional career in mixed martial art, she has also modeled on a number of websites and magazines, such as 'ESPN The Magazine', and 'Fitness Gurls'.
