Alicia Machado is a beauty queen, model, actress and actor. She was born Yoseph Alicia Machado at Maracay in Venezuela on December 6, 1976. Alicia comes from a variety of backgrounds. Both her parents are both of Cuban heritage. She has been a major participant in the world of film, television, and beauty pageants all her career. Alicia Machado began her rise to stardom when, at age 19, she won the title of Miss Venezuela representing Yaracuy. In the year following, she became fourth Venezuelan woman to win the title of Miss Universe 1996. In her time being Miss Universe, however, was not without controversy and negativity from the media due to her weight gain during her tenure. Donald Trump, the owner of the Miss Universe Organization, ridiculed her publicly about her weight gain, calling her Miss Piggy and demanding her to workout in front of the media.
